Donated during the early 1980’s to “Dodge County Railroad Preservation Inc.” The car was parked at the Dodge City KS yards of the “Dodge County Ford & Bucklin Railway”. Car moved during summer 1999 to the city of Dodge City KS and spotted at the former ATSF freight house to be used as the “Steakhouse Depot & Restaurant. Plans called for the car to be rebuilt as an outside cocktail club named “Starlight” but this never happened. Sold 2004 and moved to Hornell, NY. Sold 2015 and moved to Houston, TX for restoration to private car service. Amtraks new hostility toward private cars in 2022 have the status of this car uncertain. | |
