Masonic Lodge
McComb City Lodge No. 382
Dispensation 1875
Chartered February 12, 1876
- It is not known where the first Masonic Lodge was located in McComb. There were numerous fraternal organizations in the town at that time and several lodge rooms are shown on the fire maps.
- In 1887 the Lodge purchased Lots 11 & 12 in Block E on the north side of Main Street. The Tegarden Opera House was built on the site and the Masons met on the 2nd floor. This is currently 220 Main Street. It is unknown if the current building is the same building.
- In 1898 the Lodge purchased Lots 15 & 16 in Block D on the southeast corner of Main & Broadway. This is currently where the McCrory Building is located. The old Lodge building was torn down in 1937 and the McCrory building was built in 1938. Some of the paper contents of the cornerstone are now on file in the records of the York Rite Bodies.

- In 1920 the Lodge purchased Lot 18 in Block E located at 118/120 N Broadway Street and built a multistory building with the Lodge room located on the upper floor. This building was used until 1999. The cornerstone is at the rear of the building on the northeast corner and currently partially obscured by plumbing and other fixtures.

- In 1999 the Lodge purchased a lot at 2140 Old Liberty Road and built their current Lodge building.

McComb Commandery No. 34, Knights Templar
From the 1913 Grand Commanders report in the Proceedings if the Mississippi Grand Commandery: April 16, Dispensation granted to twenty-five or more Sir Knights living in McComb City, to form and open a Commandery. I had the pleasure of visiting McComb City and presented the Dispensation to as enthusiastic number of Sir Knights as it has been my pleasure to meet. I believe they fully realize the importance of the step they are taking, and with their fine prospects, I think they will soon have a good and substantial Commandery. I appointed Sir Knight W. T. Denman, Eminent Commander; Sir Knight A. H. Jones Generalissimo; Sir Knight D. C. Lenoir Captain General.
The McComb Commandery No. 34 was chartered on May 29, 1913 and was constituted on June 27, 1913.
The various York Rite Bodies meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 P.M.
