In 2015 the reviewer community created a special project geocoin called Supporting the Game Volunteer Geocoin. These coins were available for purchase only to volunteers and Lackeys, with three different versions produced. Rather than being sold publicly, they were shared as surprise gifts with members of the geocaching community.
In 2025 the reviewers created 2 versions available for public purchase alongside a Reviewer-Only edition. This approach allows the geocoins to reach more people, while still giving reviewers the opportunity to surprise community members with a special version that is otherwise unavailable.
