4-8-2 Mountain Locomotive, Aluminum Reefer, and Wide Vision Caboose

The photographs on this page were made on June 21, 2000 during the moving of Mountain type steam engine IC 2542 from its 1962 display site to the new display site at the McComb depot. This engine was built in 1942 and rebuilt in the Paducah shops in 1951. The engine was moved with men and equipment provided by Canadian National Illinois Central Railroad on the CN-IC main line.
